Maclean boardwalk a priority for Council

CLARENCE Valley Council is set to make building a boardwalk from McNaughton Place to McLachlan Park, in Maclean a high priority.

At an ordinary council meeting in June 2012 the Maclean Riverside Precinct Plan was adopted as a policy.

The plan aims to replace green space the Tidy Town will lose when the Maclean IGA is built.

Another aim is linking the town back to the Clarence River.

Part of the plan hinges on relocating a NSW Fisheries building located on McNaughton Place. The council is in negotiations with State Government to achieve this.
