Bobcats Women ready for sweet taste of victory

IT'S BEEN a few years between drinks but Maclean Bobcats are determined to experience the sweet taste of success again in this Sunday's NCF Women's 2nd Division grand final.

Only five players remain from a triumphant 2010 with an influx of players in their first season of senior football. But the vastly improved side under coach Chris Logsdon were runaway minor premiers in 2014 and captain Rebekah Teeni said her side is confident heading into the decider against Nambucca Strikers.

"We always thought we'd make it but now it's finally here it's exciting," Teeni said. "Nambucca's been a different side each time we've played them, which is good because they're an unexpected opposition so we can't be complacent."

The match at C.Ex International Stadium, Coffs Harbour kicks off at 11am on Field Two.
