Boy, 13, dies after waterskiing crash

A 13-year-old boy who was competing in a waterskiing race on a NSW central west dam has died in hospital from critical head injuries.

The teen was racing on Wyangala Dam, southeast of Cowra, on Saturday afternoon when he fell heavily.

He suffered critical head injuries and was taken to The Children's Hospital at Westmead but didn't recover, a NSW Police spokeswoman said today.
