Boz Scaggs and Doobies to perform at Bluesfest 2014
DOOBIE Brothers, Boz Scaggs and Suzanne Vega are just some of the names who have been added to next year's Bluesfest line-up.
Organisers of the multiple award-winning festival to be held in Byron over Easter have already announced that the Dave Matthews band and the John Butler Trio will play over the five days.
The Doobie Brothers are one of the great American music stories. Since the group was founded in the 1970s, the Doobie Brothers' propulsive roots-based, harmony laden, guitar-driven style has sold an estimated 40 million records.
For those who have been living under a rock, Boz Scaggs, who has just released Memphis - his first album in five years, is probably best known for his 1976 album Silk Degrees.
Meanwhile, it will be the first time Suzanne Vega will be heard at Bluesfest.
She has many classic and unforgettable songs under her belt, including Luka and Marlene on the Wall.
Vega emerged as a leading figure of the folk-music revival of the early 1980s when, accompanying herself on an acoustic guitar, she sang what has been labelled contemporary folk or neo-folk songs in New York's Greenwich Village clubs.
