Brumbies back-rower Jordan Smiler says he is expecting the unexpected against the Western Force in Perth tomorrow night.

The ACT outfit is on top of the Super Rugby competition after strong wins over the Hurricanes and Waratahs to start its 2016 campaign, while the Force opened with a loss at home to the Rebels before beating the Reds 22-6 in Brisbane last Saturday night.

"They (the Force) have been up and down," Smiler said.

"Some games they can pull out some wicked plays, and some they totally drop away.

"It's a bit of the unexpected - you don't know what team's going to turn up on the day."

New Brumbies halfback Tomas Cubelli said he was still taking time to adjust to playing in Australia, but said more good times were around the corner.

"I'm getting more comfortable game by game," the Argentine international said. "The team is really focused, and I'm really focused as well."

Meanwhile, Queensland Rugby Union CEO Jim Carmichael will follow sacked coach Richard Graham out the door at Reds headquarters after announcing he would step down at the end of this season.

In his seven years in the role, the QRU had a 330% rise in rugby participation in the state, with numbers moving ahead of NSW for first time in 2013.

Reds membership also increased tenfold, with QRU revenue up 50% over the same period.

"Although in sport the work is never completed, I was satisfied with the transformation and reform we have put in place," Carmichael said.

New South Wales Rugby Union and Waratahs Rugby have also announced a change at the top, with Ospreys boss Andrew Hore to take over as the CEO of both organisations from the middle of next month.
