Netball clinic is coming to town
CALLING all netball coaches. Netball NSW will be in town to inspire and captivate you in the wonders and rewards of coaching a netball team.
Included in the clinic is outsmarting the defensive unit, centre court insight, goal shooting, mentoring and talking to coaches on team games, and fault detection and correction workshop. The workshop is to be held over the weekend of July 31 and August 1 at the netball courts.
This is a great opportunity to be taught new skills by leading coaches from Netball NSW.
If you are interested or want more information, please come to control on Saturday.
We have coaching manuals available for sale in control for $10. This is a 200-plus page manual which will assist coaches with drills and games to improve the playing skills of the girls.
Grafton netball is now on facebook. This is another way to get information about what is going on in Grafton Netball. Look for us and select “like”.
There is an all-age carnival coming up after the school holidays on August 8. All teams are welcome to nominate. Please put your team name down in control.
A BUS trip to an international netball match between the Australian Diamonds v Jamaica on August 15 has been organised.
Payment can be made at any time to control before July 24. Cost is adults $66 and children are $48 (aged 4-15 years) which includes travel and tickets. Please put your money in an envelope with your name on it, this would really be appreciated by our treasurer. We are still taking names if you would like to put your name down.
The remainder of all netball fees need to be paid in full by Saturday or you will be unable to play.
WITH just over a week to go to the State Age Championships, the girls and their coaches are busy doing last-minute preparations for their three days of netball. This year the teams will be split between two venues with the 15 year rep team travelling to Maitland, while the 12s, 13s and 14s will be at Charlestown. The girls would like to thank those who supported them with their fundraising ventures to assist them with getting to the championships. GNA executive wishes all the teams good luck.
THE umpiring clinic has now finished. Denise would like to thank Cyndi Allen and Kate Gordon for their assistance with the clinic which was highly successful.
Before umpiring on Saturdays, umpires are required to have passed their umpire’s level one theory exam which gives the participant an umpiring certificate. GNA is looking to recruit more adult umpires with training and support provided to those just starting out.
If you are interested or have questions, please speak with Denise in control.
