Car and truck accident at New Italy; Hwy diversions in place
Northbound motorists on the Pacific Highway are now able to pass the scene of a car and truck accident at New Italy near the rest area.
Motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution as emergency services and traffic crews remain at the accident site.
Southbound motorists are continuing to be diverted away from the accident scene via the Bruxner Highway from Ballina to Casino then The Summerland Way to return to the highway at Grafton.
As well, a car and truck accident on The Summerland Way is affecting motorists in both directions about 10km north of Whiporie so motorists using the diversion are advised to allow additional travel time and exercise caution.
DIVERSIONS are now in place for motorists due to the closure of the Pacific Highway in New Italy after a car and truck accident.
Northbound motorists are advised to use Summerland Way from Grafton to Casino then the Bruxner Highway to return to the Pacific Highway at Ballina.
Southbound motorists are advised to use Bruxner Highway from Ballina to Casino then Summerland Way to return to the highway at Grafton.
Live Traffic NSW has suggested that these diversion routes are suitable for all vehicles. However they are warning motorists to allow for additional travel time for the diverted routes.
Emergency services and traffic crews remain on site.
