Car crash victim airlifted
THE Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter airlifted an injured teenager to hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Red Rock Road last night.
On arrival the helicopter crew found three young occupants of an overturned Mitsubishi sedan trapped inside.
After he was freed an 18-year-old male passenger who was trapped for some time, was flown to Coffs Harbour.
He had chest and head injuries and limb fractures and was airlifted in a serious but stable condition to Coffs Harbour Hospital. He was later flown to Sydney.
Another young occupant was taken to Coffs Harbour Hospital, where he was admitted overnight. The third occupant was released after treatment.
