11am: POWER has been temporarily cut off to the isolated area around the St Mary's Primary School entrance where a car has gone into a power pole. 

Essential Energy has advised some houses will be without power as they assess the damage to the power pole.

The driver, a man, does not appear to have serious injuries.

10.40am: A CAR has hit a power pole on Hoof St, Grafton.

The driver of the Holden Commodore does not appear to have serious injuries.

The power pole has been cracked and Essential Energy personnel on scene fear the power lines may come down if the pole breaks.
