Fiat Freemont is no Jaeger bomb
WHEN it comes to young guns, they don't have much more firepower than Jaeger O'Meara.
Regarded as one of the best youngsters in the country before being drafted to the Gold Coast Suns, in his rookie year of 2013 O'Meara averaged 21 possessions a game to rank third in the club's best and fairest award while also being a runaway winner of the NAB AFL Rising Star honour.
Fiat this year came on board as a major sponsor of the Suns, and O'Meara featured in a television commercial for the marque alongside Gary Ablett, Charlie Dixon, Zac Smith and Dion Prestia.
"Fiat is proud to support the Gold Coast Suns Football Club − it's a young club on an upwards trajectory. The club's values and aspirations closely mirror those of our organisation and in particular the Fiat brand," Veronica Johns, president and CEO of Fiat Chrysler Group said.
We caught up with O'Meara to discuss all things motoring.
What was your first car?
The first car was a black Toyota RAV-4.
What are you driving now?
I'm currently driving a Fiat Freemont and I love the eskies that are installed in front of the back seats (if that's what they are meant to be ha ha).
What car did your family have while you were growing up?
My family had a white Toyota Prado when I was growing up. They have still got it but only use it as a beach car now.
What is your greatest frustration on the road?
My greatest frustration on the road would be people who don't know how to indicate properly on roundabouts ... it seems to be a common theme here on the Gold Coast.
What is your favourite driving music?
My preferred driving music would be something I can sing a long to, I like a mixture of music.
If you could choose anyone to go on a road trip with, who would it be?
I would love to go on a road trip with Dan Bilzerian (poker player and social media celebrity who lives a lavish lifestyle), that'd be fun.
What is your dream car?
My dream car is an all-black Lamborghini Aventador.
