Former Gladstone Airport manager moves to Whitsundays
WHITSUNDAY Regional Council has appointed a temporary leader of the Whitsunday Coast Airport and Infrastructure Corporation after the resignation for former CEO Scott Waters on Wednesday.
Former Gladstone Airport general manager Glenn Robinson will take on the role until a permanent chief executive officer can be employed.
Mayor Andrew Willcox said Mr Robinson's extensive experience in the aviation industry meant that he was well placed to hit the ground running at Whitsunday Coast Airport.
"Glenn has a wealth of experience in the aviation industry, and I'm pleased that he will be temporarily joining the Whitsunday Coast Airport and Infrastructure Corporation team to oversee the terminal and manage the continued growth and development of the airport," Cr Willcox said.
"Having managed airports and aerodromes in regional communities such as Gladstone and Roma, as well as the Norfolk Island International Airport, Glenn is well-positioned to lead the Whitsunday Coast Airport while Council undertakes a recruitment process for a new CEO," he said.
Mr Robinson will commence his temporary role on Tuesday, 26 April 2016.
