Rhinos win despite venue change

ORIGINALLY scheduled to be played at McKittrick Park, the two Grafton City soccer games played on Saturday were moved to Rushforth Park in order to accommodate a clash with a Rhinos rugby league fixture.

Both the third division Bulls taking on Majos and the second division Rhinos clash with South Services were played simultaneously at 3pm on City's former home track of Rushforth Park.

In the Second Division match featuring Grafton City, the Rhinos scored a comprehensive 5-0 win over South Services Gunners. After an ordinary first half, it was City who ran away with the match in the second half.

Scorers for the Rhinos were Zac Channels, Matt Dougherty, Michael Fletcher and Jake Dominey who scored a double.

Next weekend, both the Jacaranda Hotel Grafton City sides travel away from home.

The third division Bulls venture to Barnier Park to take on the Westlawn Jaguars at the later time slot of 3pm while the second division Rhinos, on their longest road trip of the season, tackle the Strikers at Nambucca Heads at 3:15pm.
