Changes ahead for junior cricket

CHANGES to how junior cricket is managed in the Clarence Valley are set to be discussed tonight at the Clarence River Junior Cricket Association AGM.

North Coast development manager David Szumowski will make a presentation from 7pm about a new format for the under-10 competition. It is believed the new format could be similar to the successful MILO cricket programs.

A proposal to alter the scheduling of junior games will also be heard, with much of the emphasis directed at trying to attract more players to the sport.

The AGM will follow immediately after Szumowski's presentation, with all welcome to attend both and have their say on the future of junior cricket.
