Check out twinkle town

IT'S beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the Clarence Valley with light displays shining into the night.

Clarence Community Transport is heading out on the road to help spread a little Christmas cheer this season with their Christmas light tours.

Clarence Community Transport CEO Warwick Foster said this would be their fifth year out on the road for their light tours.

"We send buses from the lower river and from the Grafton area and pick up clients and anybody who wants to go along,” he said.

Mr Foster added that they were trying to cover as much of the Clarence Valley as possible.

"The lower river tour will visit the lights in Yamba and then head into Grafton, the bus in Grafton will focus on the lights in Grafton,” he said.

"We always encourage people to dress up if they want to.”

Mr Foster added that there is a limit to the number of people they can take on the tour.

"We've got facility for about 80 people in total,' he said.

"We get families coming a lot, someone booked 10 or 15 people on the bus.

"We encourage families to go because it's easy to jump on.”

Mr Foster added that anyone with mobility needs is welcome as the buses are equipped for transporting people with limited mobility.

"It really is open to everyone, a lot of people think it's just for aged and elderly people, but it is open for everyone,” he said.

The Clarence Community Transport tours will happen on Saturday, December 17.

"If there is more of demand we will put another night,” Mr Foster said.

There are two tours available; the Grafton tour which is estimated to take up to two hours, and the Lower River tour which goes through Maclean and Yamba and then heads to Grafton, this tour is expected to take up to three hours.

Buses will pick up at your door for the tour.
