Chemical scare false alarm

REPORTS of a leaking tank of chemicals at Grafton Olympic Pool tonight were unfounded.

Just after 6pm, emergency services rushed to the corner of Oliver and Turf Sts to inspect the reported leak.

Firefighters at the scene said the phone call was made to the emergency services in good faith and that the scene was cordoned off and fully inspected before being deemed safe.
