Chicago players raise roof

A WILD storm turned on a show on Friday night, but Maclean High School's production of Chicago opened last weekend to thunderous applause.

The production involving dancers, singers and budding actors from the school performed shows to solid crowds at the Maclean Civic Hall on Friday and Saturday nights.

"The kids are doing an amazing job," said director Matt Fisher.

"Even with torrential rain outside making the stage slippery on Friday night, the kids put on a great show."

The performance continues this week on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

The few pre-booked tickets left are available from either Ripples Cafe or Maclean High School.
