Child approached in Coffs Harbour area

Police are appealing for witnesses following a child approach in Coffs Harbour on Tuesday.

About 7.40am (Tuesday 15 June 2015), a 14-year-old boy was walking north on Hunter Close, Korara, when a beige Toyota Landcruiser stopped beside him.

The driver, a man, spoke to the teen who became afraid and walked away.

The Toyota drove away onto Pacific Highway.

The boy told his parents who contacted police. Officers from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command attended the boy's home and commenced an investigation.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that may assist with their inquiries are urged to make contact.
