China buyers home in on Yamba

AN UNUSUAL property that has sparked interest overseas will go to auction on December 14.

Ray White selling principal Daniel Kelly said the Clarence St restaurant with a three-bedroom upstairs apartment was a "different offering for Yamba".

"There has been a bit of interest because it's so unique and is such a versatile property," Mr Kelly said.

"This type of property does tend to interest people from out of town, and we have also had some interest from overseas buyers, which is a bit different."

Mr Kelly said there had been particular interest from China.

"The last 12 months there has been a big influx of Chinese buyers in Australia and we've certainly noticed that in Yamba too," he said.

Tipped to go for a fair sum of cash, the property has a hill location that likely to create competition among bidders come auction day.

The auction will be on site at noon.
