Claims dwarf was set alight at AFL Mad Monday celebrations

POLICE will investigate a popular dwarf entertainer's claim that he was set on fire during an AFL club's Mad Monday celebrations.

Blake Johnston, who goes by the stage name Mr Big, claimed he was set alight while talking to a group of players.

Johnston's management have claimed the club is St Kilda. St Kilda are investigating the incident.

Victoria Police spokeswoman Creina O'Grady said police were looking into the allegation that the entertainer's clothes were set on fire with a cigarette lighter.

A work colleague, who had spoken to Mr Johnston since the alleged incident, said: "Blake was speaking to a player when another man, who he thinks was another player, set him on fire."
