Clarence Coast goes bush at rodeo

BIG hats and big buckles were on show at Maclean yesterday, as well as plenty of skill and courage, as part of the annual Maclean Twilight Rodeo.

With more than 400 entries for the action-packed program, events started at noon and carried through into the evening when a big crowd turned out to watch the finals.

As well as providing fans with plenty of riding and roping action, the rodeo raises money for local charities. Organisers were expecting about $20,000 to be raised.
