Clarence cricket cancelled

Clarence River Cricket Association president Tom Kroehnert said enough rain had already fallen in Grafton to cancel Saturday club matches and Sunday's NCCC Inter-District final between Clarence River and Coffs Harbour.

As a result the last round of CRCA Premier League and Second Grade will be played as one-dayer matches next Saturday instead of two-day matches across two weekends.

Lower Clarence president Tim McMahon similarly said a call was made at about 11am this morning to abandon all its Saturday club fixtures.

The Brushgrove Cricket Club Come and Try Day has also been cancelled. It was due to take place at Brushgrove Oval on Saturday from 10am to 12pm.
