Two Clarence Valley groups on awards short-list

TWO Clarence Valley groups have been recognised for their hard work by making it through to the top 10 semi-finals in the 2013 NSW/ACT Regional Achievement & Community Awards.

THE Clarence River Jockey Club Racecourse & Recreation Trust has been short-listed in the NSW Government Crown Lands Crown Reserve Trust - Corporate Managers Category.

While the Jacaranda Festival of Grafton has been short-listed in the Specialty Press Events and Tourism Award Category.

The awards honour the hard-working people in remote and regional areas in NSW and the ACT.

The semi-finalists will be reviewed and the three finalists of the each category will be announced after Thursday, September 19.

The finalists will be presented at the Gala Presentation in Newcastle on October 26, where the winner will be announced and awarded $5000.
