Classics go on show
THE sixth Dubbo Vintage Truck and Tractor Show in 2014 will have even more trucks, tractors, steam tractor engines and cars than before.
This year will introduce a fantastic display of stationary engines.
Hosted by the Golden Oldies Truck Club, the weekend will include vintage trucks and trailers, vintage tractors, vintage and classic cars, vintage motorbikes, tractor pull and kids events.
Organiser Brian Little said a quilt show would again be held for the women which would entice families to stay a little longer at the fundraising event.
And this show will feature a mini drag-line operation that kids will be able to operate and use to shift dirt around.
The show will raise money for three charities, the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Can Assist and Early Intervention.
"Come out and support your local clubs and community," Mr Little said.
There will be plenty of displays and entertainment, memorabilia, food and refreshments to go alongside the steam traction engines, rallies and parades.
Again Golden Oldies Treasurer John Howey will bring his 1963 model International ABD182.
He bought this old workhorse in 2005 from the original owners, who had bought the truck to use on their farm near Gunnedah brand new.
The show will be held on August 9 at the Dubbo Showgrounds. Cost to enter is $10. Gates open 8.30am-6pm. Visit www.goldenoldiestruckclub.com for details.
