Supa Oldies Soccer nearing end of season

SUPA OLDIES SOCCER: The action at Supa Oldies Soccer is hot running into the end of the season.

Last week Winmill Campers beat Total Graffiti 3-2 in a close game. Karen Blanch and Kim Hindmarsh were picked as best players.

Hardas and the Saps played their game in great spirit with lots of ball movement. The Saps edged out Hardas 5-4 with M Oxenbridge, Mel Bender and Colin Baxter picked as best players.

Tyre Power Pros and Old Guns had a game so friendly the teams kept passing to the opposition. It was a referees delight with lots of laughter. TPP took the match 4-2.

Shockers and The Odd Balls had a close game with Kendal Davies scoring four for TOB as they won 5-4. Players of the match were Mat Godwin and Sam Thompson.

Cartridge World beat Action Mini Bus Hire 4-2 in a close game while Hackers and Oops had a real great fun game with Oops winning 5-3.

Reece Angry Birds showed their class against GPS No Class 5-2. In a good spirited game Liz Weller and K Murphy got match honours.

Valley Signs and Kaos played out a 2-all draw in a ping pong game while Asgardians beat South High United 4-2 in the funniest game the referee had.

Despite Grasshoppers holding an early 1-0 lead late into the second half, Couties pulled off two late goals to win 3-1.

Wisdom beat Kezas 4-1 with match honours going to Craig Phelps, Learned Williams and C Mahwinney. South Services and the Roadrunners had a good competitive yet social game with a lot of headers, some good, some not so good, with the Roadrunners winning 3-1. Match honours went to R Godwin and J Nelson.

Blue Jays and the Misfits had a close game with the Blue Jays starting with more energy and better passing than the Misfits. They went ahead with a cracking shot by Dutch signing Theo Jongen. Jonn Gorie and Andy Taylor scored through some speedy counter attacks for the Misfits Final score was 3-2 to Misfits in a well fought game.

Boral Rangers lost to First National 8-4 with the question on everyone's list being 'How can Troy McLaren score a magnificent heading goal?' The referee wanted DNA testing done on him. Pepe and L Warren were picked as best players .

Poles and Holes beat the Wowies 2-1 in a friendly competitive game with plenty of back and forth play with a few shots unlucky not to go in. Match honours: Jess Butler and A Pope.
