Yamba SLSC honours devoted members

SOME of the Yamba Surf Life Saving Club's most devoted members were recognised at the annual general meeting on Sunday.

Jim Saunders was one of six club members to receive a long service award for his 60 years of service.

Mick Smith and Andrew Tarrant (40 years), Ray Killen (30) and Ray O'Brien and James Wheeler (both 25) were also honoured.

The election of office bearers was also conducted with some members taking on new positions for the 2014-15 season.

Welcome to vice president Joe Dougherty, club captain James Ryan, IRB captain Matt Saunders, vice boat captain Ray Wiblen and co-junior captains Sean Leonard and Will Brighton.
