ClubGRANTS open for applications

CLARENCE Valley community groups with projects to improve the living standards of low-income and disadvantaged people can apply for cash.

Projects that address homelessness or youth issues will be given priority.

The funding is available under the ClubGRANTS program, a scheme Clarence Valley Mayor Richie Williamson said was designed to ensure larger registered clubs in NSW contributed to the provision of front-line services to their local communities, and to ensure the disadvantaged benefited from the contributions of local clubs.

Last year more than $50,000 was spent on community projects.
