AN INCIDENT involving Tara residents and coal seam gas company workers is being investigated by Dalby Criminal Investigation Branch.
Wieambilla Estate resident Dayne Pratzky said he had been struck by an Easternwell drilling company ute and fellow resident Brandon Palmer had been struck by a QGC ute.
Mr Pratzky said he and his neighbour Mr Palmer had been involved in a heated confrontation with coal seam gas industry workers near the entrance to QGC's Kate Two well site.
He said they had confronted the gas workers after seeing mining equipment being moved to the site, situated on the Wieambilla Estate.
Lock the Gate Alliance president Drew Hutton said QGC previously promised they would not drill on the estate until 2014 and if that changed then all residents would be notified.
A police spokesman confirmed officers were investigating an incident on Robbos Rd that occurred about 9am Saturday.
The spokesman said allegations of residents damaging vehicles were also being investigated.
Easternwell group manager of business development Bill Sankey said the company was cooperating with the police investigation.
A QGC spokesman said the rig taken to the property on Saturday was a work-over rig, for maintenance of an existing well.
He said it was not for new drilling.
"We told residents some time ago we would not be drilling new wells in the Wieambilla Estates until at least 2014 and we will not be," the spokesman said.
