Yamba Coles paints the town red for Redkite

DRESS-UPS: The team also had a dress-up competition.

DECKED out in red, the Coles Yamba team painted the town red to celebrate raising $30,000 for Redkite.

The huge donation is enough to ensure nine local families can afford to get to hospital during the first six months of treatment and that they'll have access to information and counselling in hospital and on the phone.

Since partnering with Redkite in 2013, Coles customers and team members have donated more than $13 million to support families from the devastating moment of diagnosis, throughout long treatment periods and when families return home.

In addition to fundraising events and donations, five cents from the sale of every loaf of Coles Smart Buy and Coles Brand bread sold supermarkets is donated to Redkite.
