Community unites for Anzac service

A WARM north-westerly wind blew gently for the 120 people attending the Tullymorgan School Reserve Anzac Day dawn service.

The service commenced with the Catafalque Party – Stan, Alec, Glen and Raymond Cormick – followed by a reading of the Anzac prayer by army cadet Natasha Thomson and The Requiem read by Maclean High School captain Jordan Fisher.

Ian Gardam once again did a professional job as MC.

The service concluded with the playing of the Last Post, Rouse and national anthem.

As the dawn broke, a ‘gunfire’ breakfast of bacon, eggs and baked beans was enjoyed by residents and visitors from as far as Sydney and Moree.
