THE last time Barbara Troughton was seen alive, the 62-year-old had been walking from her Newtown home.

That was the morning of Wednesday, January 27, when Mrs Troughton left her Charlotte St house and vanished.

Her husband Ray McCaul reported her missing to police two days later and despite repeated appeals for information, Mrs Troughton is yet to be found.

Toowoomba police have made repeated appeals for information but are as yet to disclose any new leads.

One thing is certain is that with every day Mrs Troughton remains missing, concerns grow for her welfare.

Mrs Troughton owned the Spar Supermarket on Herries St with Mr McCaul who earlier this month said financial hardship and a decline in the shop's trade may have been behind her disappearance.

Mrs Troughton is described as being Caucasian in appearance and around 163cm tall with reddish-brown hair and green eyes.

Anyone who may have seen Mrs Troughton, or who may have any other information which could assist in locating her, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
