Confident Knights are riding high

KNIGHTS forward Neville Costigan has won premierships with the Broncos and Dragons, and so knows a quality team when he sees one.

And the Queensland and Papua New Guinea representative sees something special in the Knights leading up to Saturday night's preliminary final against the Roosters.

"I have been in pretty good teams before - Broncos, Dragons - and I feel like we are up there," he said.

"And the good thing about us is we have a lot of confidence as well."

Costigan is preparing for a massive challenge against a dynamic Roosters pack, however.

"They have some big tough forwards and plenty of skill as well which is dangerous for us," he said. "We just have to stick to what we know best which is our game."

The Knights had a recovery session on Monday after their 18-16 semi-final win over the Melbourne Storm. They will return to the training paddock today, before travelling to Sydney tomorrow.

"Everyone pulled up pretty good after the game," the 28-year-old Costigan said.

"The back-end of the season we have a pretty good run and hopefully we can keep it going."
