Coutts take 3rd Grade title to cap undefeated season

COUTTS Crossing's third grade side capped off its undefeated season with victory over GDSC Easts in the grand final at Lower Fisher Synthetic on Saturday.

Easts batted first and after a stellar knock of 83 from Ryan Spies some late hitting by Joel Bartrim and Alex Wills got the side to a competitive 9 for 207 off the 40 overs.

But Coutts Crossing showed the class that saw them gain an undefeated record this season with a hefty knock from Justin Inskip (86) and support efforts from Tim McKee (26) and Dennis Pearce (29) to reach the target with five overs remaining and four wickets in hand.

Captain Matt McKee rounded out a solid match taking 3 for 26 off 6 overs and hit the winning runs to finish 19 not out.
