Cow injures farmer

A KYOGLE farmer, 81, is lucky to be alive after a freak cattle accident yesterday morning.

The man is reported to be in a serious but stable condition after being kicked and stomped by a cow on a farming property on the Summerland Way near Woodenbong.

The accident occurred between nine and 10am while the man was working with cattle on the property north of Kyogle about 10 kilometres from Woodenbong.
