Cowgirl ready for wild night at rodeo

SHE may be gorgeous, she may look sweet, but when it comes to rodeo, Bianca Hertel is as fierce as they come.

Tonight this cowgirl from Coonamble in central-west NSW will take to the ring in the barrel racing, steer undecorating and the breakaway roping.

It is just one of her 68 annual rodeos and Ms Hertel said she looked forward to competing in the Clarence Valley.

"It's on the water, has good money and good people," she explained.

Running some new horses, Ms Hertel is going for some new titles.

Maclean/Lawrence Rodeo president Bruce Green said spectators were in for a wild night at the showgrounds.
