Queensland man dies in crash

INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into a fatal motor vehicle accident near Jackadgery.

The single-vehicle accident occurred about 20km west of Jackadgery on Monday afternoon.

When The Daily Examiner spoke to police yesterday afternoon, the deceased man had not yet been formally identified.

However, Grafton Highway Patrol's Sergeant Dallas Leven said family were expected to arrive from Queensland late yesterday to identify the man's body.

What is known is the deceased man was from Queensland and was 48 years old.

He was driving a green Ford Falcon sedan with Victorian registration plates.

Sgt Leven said inquiries into the accident were continuing and he did not want to speculate on the cause at this stage.

He said a report was being prepared for the Coroner.
