CRIME WATCH: Police allege man breached AVO conditions

A: MACLEAN

FEBRUARY 8: About 9.35am police will allege they attended an address in Woodford St, Maclean. After searching the location police located a 44yo Maclean man inside a kitchen cupboard. By being at the location, the man was breaching conditions on an AVO. The man was arrested and charged with breaching an AVO. He was refused bail and will appear at Maclean Local Court on February 22.

B: GRAFTON

FEBRUARY 8: About 9.45pm a 31yo woman entered a service station in Prince Street, Grafton. Police allege that after filling up her fuel tank the woman drove off without attempting to pay for the petrol.

Police attended her address in Kent Street where she was interviewed and subsequently issued court attendance notices for dishonestly obtain benefit by deception and driving on a suspended licence.

She will appear at Grafton Local Court on March 21.

C: SOUTH GRAFTON

FEBRUARY 8: About 11.30pm police will allege a 23yo South Grafton man began arguing with his partner at their Through Street home. The man has then threatened to kill his partner and her family and has punched numerous holes in the walls in the house. A short time later he threatened his partner with a knife before police arrived and arrested him.

The man was arrested and charged with malicious damage, stalk/intimidate, and armed with intent to commit an indictable offence.

He will appear at Grafton Local Court on February 15.

D: SOUTH GRAFTON

FEBRUARY 9: About 12.30pm police will allege a 33yo South Grafton woman attended Grafton Base Hospital with her sick partner.

After the partner was led into treatment, the woman became highly agitated and abusive towards staff in the foyer and in front of other patients.

Police subsequently attended and directed her to leave. A few hours later police arrested the woman when she returned and continued her behaviour again in front of staff and patients after claiming she just wanted to retrieve her cannabis from her partner. She was arrested and charged with offensive language and fail to comply with a direction and will appear in Grafton Local Court on March 7. The partner was spoken to and police will allege they found cannabis in his possession in the hospital. The 51yo South Grafton man was issued a future court attendance notice and will appear in Grafton Court on April 4.
