Cross marks where mother found

THE family of a Maclean woman whose body was found on Nine Mile Beach, north of Iluka, on January 27 this year, has erected a cross in the dunes in her memory.

Members of the Davis and Daley families went to the beach at the weekend to erect a memorial to mother of seven Lynette (Norma) Daley.

It is understood Grafton detectives took two men to the beach in early March, where they were interviewed as part of ongoing investigations into Ms Daley’s death.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Graham Burke said he could not comment on what occurred on March 3, but that the two men continued to assist with ongoing investigations.

“There are a number of aspects to this case that need further investigation and police urge anyone with information to contact Grafton detectives or Crimestoppers,” he said.
