FRIENDS of victims of a violent carjacking at Caboolture, have banded together to raise money to replace their car.
The car jacking saw two offenders caught up in a violence spree of car thefts which didn't end until they got the NSW border.
While the offenders were in custody, the victims were still recovering from emotional and physical damage.
Friends have put together a crowd funding initiative to try and raise some money to replace the belongings.
"Lauren and Karl are two incredibly wonderful people, who are trying to start their life together.
Last week whilst out for a drive, two men held them at gun point, stole their car and took the police on a chase that ended in Northern New South Wales," the post read.
t's believed the couple were hijacked at a set of traffic lights in the Caboolture area.
"The car eventually crashed into another van, and has now been written off," the post continued.
"Insurance have paid out the loan that was taken out to get the car, but neither are in a position to buy a car, which they now have to do.
"Basically, we just want to help them out however we can. Both have had to take time off work due to stress, and are under an immense amount of pressure due to the situation."
The crowdfunding hopes to raise enough money to replace the car the pair lost.
"We are grateful for any support, this is such a terrifying event, and we are all so incredibly thankful that it was only the car that was damaged."
