WE continue our push for mental health awareness and discussion on whether Grafton needs more services and today we have a list of available help.

A directory of free and low-cost health and community services is at lifeline.org.au/service_finder. There is also an app for smart phones so you can easily help anyone who is in need.

Mental health help

Bulgarr Ngaru Aboriginal Medical Service, Grafton 6643 2199, provides health and community services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in the Grafton and Clarence Valley district.

North Coast Area Health Service Mental Health Services, Lismore 1300 369 968, provides mental health services for youth and adults living in the Lismore and North Coast district.

Grafton Community Health Centre, 6640 2402, provides health and community services for the residents of the Grafton area.

Lifehouse Care, Coffs Harbour 6652 3116, provides counselling and material aid for residents of the Coffs Harbour, Grafton and Maclean district.

Jetty Bunker Youth Service Incorporated, Coffs Harbour 6652 7124, provides transitional accommodation and support services for young people who are homeless or at risk of becoming so in the Coffs Harbour district.

Lifeline Northern Rivers, Lismore 6622 4133, provides counselling services for the residents of the Northern Rivers.

Grafton Base Hospital, 6640 2222, provides mental and physical health services for residents of the Grafton district.

Lismore Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit, 1300 369 968, provides inpatient and outpatient services for people with a mental illness or disorder in the North Coast.

On Track Community Programs, Coffs Harbour, 6651 1246, provides accommodation, counselling and support services for people with a mental illness and their carers living in the Coffs Harbour and surrounding district

National Association of Loss and Grief Coffs Harbour Chapter, 6648 3675, provides services for people affected by loss and grief
