D-Day for Maroons
TOMORROW will be D-day for the Queensland challenge team in the Barastoc Polocrosse Nationals.
After going down 19-17 to South Australia in the first game on field 5 yesterday, Queensland must beat New South Wales in the 12.30pm game tomorrow to stay in contention for the finals.
Warwick club players Matt Shepherd and Warwick Fraser were in the Queensland team.
Shepherd said his team was two or three goals down most of the game.
"It is going to be tough against New South Wales but we have the team to do it," he said.
Captain Mick Dillon, who lives in Warwick and plays for Wandoan, said his side left too much ball on the ground against South Australia. South Australian player Luke Taylor said it was a pleasure to play on fields as good as in Warwick at Morgan Park.
