Dancers soar to new heights

THE sky is the limit for Grafton dancers Matthew Crawford and Emma Meredith.

The talented, young duo scooped the pool at the recent Grafton Dance Eisteddfod and went on to win the senior and junior overall excellence scholarships.

Dance co-ordinator Diana Welch said about 175 individual entrants competed in solos in the week-long competition, an increase on last year, while a large number of groups also competed.

Matthew, 14, and Emma, 11, already have their sights set on next year, as well as fame in the future.

“I'd love to go on (television show) So You Think You Can Dance,” Matthew said.
