Davey Woder a real contender for X Factor title

DAVEY Woder has a good chance of winning The X Factor Australia tonight.

The Logan tyre fitter, who originally hails from Mackay, is now the second favourite for the reality singing show's title according to online bookmaker SportsBet, which has Woder at $4 odds behind teen Isaiah Firebrace on $1.50 odds.

The father-of-three also received an all-star endorsement from Robbie Williams last night.

After performing Williams' hit song Angels the show together, the UK pop star declared "this is the kind of crazy the pop world needs".

But the future of the reality contest is up in the air, with several music media outlets speculating the show won't return next year after a Seven spokesperson told The Music Network "no decision has been made yet".

The X Factor's ratings have been underwhelming this year, especially compared to The Block which secured the highest rating non-sports program of the year with last week's grand final winner announcement.

The X Factor grand final decider airs tonight at 7.30pm on Channel 7.
