Daylight saving ends Sunday

DAYLIGHT saving comes to an end on Sunday and the NSW Fire Brigade and Bunnings Warehouse are encouraging all Grafton residents to use the occasion as a reminder to change smoke alarm batteries in their home as well as their clocks.

NSW Fire Brigade representatives will be in store at Bunnings Warehouse Grafton on Saturday to answer questions and help educate residents on how to safely install and change the batteries on a variety of smoke alarms.

An additional home fire safety D.I.Y. workshop will be hosted by Bunnings team members and NSW Fire Brigade at 12.30pm.

The workshop will cover how to protect your property from fire, including how to fit and install smoke alarms, managing vegetation and reducing fire fuel.

Bunnings Warehouse Grafton will also host fire safety themed D.I.Y. and colouring in activities for children, also held at 12.30pm.
