Essential maintenance could delay highway at Mororo

PACIFIC Highway users could face delays due to essential maintenance on the Mororo Bridge over the Clarence River from next week.

Work will include the rehabilitation of a concrete pier and patch painting of the steel structures.

The work will start on Monday, February 15, and is expected to be finished by February 23, weather permitting. Working hours will be Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm and Saturdays from 8am to 1pm.

Temporary lane closures and reduced speed limits will be in place on the Pacific Highway, Garretts Lane East and Lewis Lane.

Road users should follow the direction of traffic controllers, keep to the reduced speed limits and follow traffic signs and lights when displayed.

Delays may be experienced due to the changed traffic conditions so motorists should plan extra travel time for their journeys.

The NSW Government has committed $300,000 in funding for the project.
