Promoter David Lander is again determined to give fans some great family entertainment in coming months - and this is never more underlined than by the first two meetings of the 2017-18 season.
In addition to the usual variety racing program, there will be an exclusive appearance by the spectacular flame-throwing jet car at the season opener, while the next meeting (October 28) offers the richest Demolition Derby in Australian speedway history.
The V8 Dirt Modifieds have plenty on the line at the first meeting of the new racing term as they compete for honours in the annual Clarence Valley Spring Cup in a gruelling 30-lap main event. But these drivers are not the only competitors who have a major reason to head to Grafton Speedway. The bash and crash demo derby brigade have a couple thousand in the form of the folding stuff!
That's why Grafton Speedway is calling all demolition derby drivers.
The promotion is asking a very poignant question: "How would you like to win $2000?”
It's good money for no more than 30 minutes' work at Grafton Speedway on October 28.
You can't beat that!
The only requirement is to be the last car running in the crash spectacular that not only carries a very impressive pay cheque but the honour of being the best demolition derby driver in New South Wales. The trophy that goes with the title is just as impressive as the prize money.
Nominations are now open and entry forms are now on the Grafton Speedway website at www.graftonspeedway.com.au.
To enter, it's as easy as downloading the nomination form or even just picking up the phone. Call 66212733 or 0408222908 during office hours Monday to Friday for all the entry details.
Even by just being the driver judged the most spectacular, the entrant picks up a cool $500 prize so there are plenty of reasons to file an entry form today.
The NSW Demolition Derby Championship is the richest in the history of Australian speedway.
"I have given the drivers plenty of incentive to enter,” Lander said.
"I cannot recall a demolition derby offering $2000 to the winner.
"In past history, the demolition derbies, regardless of whether it was a State title or an Australian Championship, never paid this much money.
"I want to see a good entry list on hand for the Demolition Derby at Grafton Speedway on October 28.”
