Discount for indigenous home buyers

INDIGENOUS Business Australia (IBA) has announced a discounted home loan offer to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for a limited time.

Customers who are approved for a new home loan may be eligible to receive a discount of 0.5% on the Standard Introductory Rate - reducing IBA's commencing rate to 4%.

First home buyers may also be eligible to qualify for an IBA loan that provides 100% of the funds required to buy a home, without the need to borrow some of the funds from another lender.

This special offer is for a limited time and is only available to first home buyers who have their loans approved from today.

IBA CEO Chris Fry said that IBA regularly reviews its loan conditions for first home buyers.

"Now may be a good time for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to explore how to get in the housing market and secure their financial future.

"This special offer is providing more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with the opportunity to buy their own homes," Mr Fry said.

IBA's Indigenous Home Ownership program aims to contribute to closing the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous home ownership rates, and make buying a home a realistic choice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals and families.
