Roadworks disrupt Maclean CBD traffic

MOTORISTS are advised scheduled road repairs in the Maclean CBD on April 13 will result in disruptions to traffic flow.

Clarence Valley Council works and civil director, Troy Anderson, said work was needed to repair some pavement failure near the pedestrian crossing in River St and could not be done after hours.

"Works will involve closing a lane of traffic with the open lane operating under traffic control, with traffic functioning in alternating movements," he said.

"There will also be a through traffic detour in place for those wanting to avoid the main street.

"Several car parking spaces within River Street will also be closed."

Mr Anderson said the works would be completed in a day and were weather dependent.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this work might cause," he said.
