No need to go broke over your Cup day outfit

IT'S Grafton Cup day and you long to hit the track, but you have nothing to wear - panic stations.

No doubt in the top five biggest causes of stress for the entire female population, not having anything to wear to the races is sure to turn a few hairs grey across the Clarence Valley this morning.

Lucky for you, we at The DEX went on a hunt for a races outfit for less than $20. The first (and only) stop was the op shop.

In just 10 minutes, reporter Georja Ryan was decked out in a maroon skirt, cream lace top and a pink hat fit for the queen.

The total outfit cost $18.

The best thing about hitting the op shops, aside from knowing your money is going to a good cause, is that you are almost sure to be the only one wearing that outfit.

Plus, you may just stumble across some vintage gems.

For those who were thinking of using the "nothing to wear" excuse today, don't even think about it.

There is heaps on offer at op shops in the region.
