Double hit for Dogs skipper

THE Bulldogs' thrilling 21-20 win over the Warriors on Sunday has come at a cost, with co-captain Frank Pritchard facing up to four months out after suffering a pectoral injury.

Pritchard was also outed for one game due to a careless high tackle on Konrad Hurrell.

Dragons forward Dylan Farrell could also miss a big chunk of the 2014 season after he appeared to rupture his pectoral muscle in Monday night's heartbreaking 28-24 loss to the Melbourne Storm.

Dragons performance director Andrew Gray said scans in the next day or so would reveal the extent of the injury, but he said he expected the news would be bad. "We suspect that Dylan has ruptured his pec, which isn't good," Gray said. "If that proves to be the case he will have surgery as soon as possible."

Storm centre Will Chambers faces up to three weeks out for a shoulder charge from the game against the Dragons.

The Rabbitohs will be without forwards George Burgess and Ben Te'o for Friday afternoon's game against the Bulldogs after the pair made early guilty pleas to charges of tripping Panthers fullback Matt Moylan.

Warriors hard man Ben Matulino also lodged an early guilty plea to his shoulder charge against Bulldogs prop James Graham and will spend two weeks on the sidelines.
