SIBLING rivalry can be ugly, but for Andrea, Nina and Jesse Dozzi, it's inspirational.

The three sisters make up Dozzi, an emerging country music band that draws its creative influences not just from its members but their family and surroundings.

During the past six years, the singing and songwriting trio have gone from small-time gigs in Brisbane to playing alongside some of Australia's biggest names in country music.

When they play at the Warwick RSL tonight, they'll be the support act for McAlister Kemp on their Harder to Tame tour.

"We feel very lucky to do this, and we know that, too," Andrea said while travelling to a show in Tamworth.

"We all listen to the same music so when we're driving somewhere, we talk for half the way and listen to music the rest of it.

"We've got each other's back and we're creating memories and living this together. It makes it all easier, I think."

Dozzi will play a few shows in the south-east corner from next week before they head up the Bruce Hwy to take the stage at the Gympie Muster.

Supporting McAlister Kemp is both an inspiration and a chance to learn from one of the biggest names in the Australian country charts, Andrea said.

"We'll be playing our latest single duet with Drew McAlister from McAlister Kemp so you'll not only get to see the big name act, but you'll also be able to see us," Andrea quipped.

Contact the RSL for more information about ticket availability.
